INVOLVED IN CHURCH LEADERSHIP?

Welcome to our VBS 2011 Homepage, where you will find out all you need to know about:

When Was Hometown Nazareth?

This year's Vacation Bible School (VBS) was:
Monday, June 20th through Friday, June 24th
(9am-noon each day).

Other important VBS events to remember include:
Volunteer Luncheon = Sunday, June 5th (12pm) in the Fellowship Hall
This was an opportunity for anyone interested in volunteering to help at this year's VBS to get all the info you need.
Decorating Day = Saturday, June 18th (9am-12pm) all over the campus
This was our big day for turning our church buildings into the extravagant Hometown of Nazareth.  Looks great!
Advertising Day = Saturday, June 18th (1pm-4pm) in our community
This is when we'll loaded up in vehicles with our youth and plastered the surrounding neighborhoods with invitations to attend VBS.
VBS Kick-Off = Sunday, June 19th (4pm-6pm) at the Rec Center
We enjoyed games, snacks, music, and more... as we began our VBS week in style!  Thanks to all who came out!

What Was Hometown Nazareth?

This year's theme (as published by Group) was all about "Where Jesus Was A Kid".  This allowed our participants a unique perspective into the life of our Lord when he was just a child (the very same age of many of them).  The Bible points each day of that week included the following lessons: Monday = "Jesus had a family... we do too" (Luke 1:26-38), Tuesday = "Jesus had a name... we do too" (Luke 2:1-40), Wednesday = "Jesus had a home... we do too" (Matthew 2:13-23), Thursday = "Jesus went to church... we do too" (Luke 2:41-52), and Friday = "Jesus served others... we do too" (John 2:1-12).  What an exciting week in Nazareth it was!  Get a preview of what this week looked like for our little ones with this short video clip:

Why Choose Hometown Nazareth?

At New Hope Baptist Church we take our ministry to children very seriously.  We may not always look serious as we have all the fun we can with these kids, but we are serious about teaching them about Jesus.  Our weekly activities include games, snacks, crafts, worship, messages, videos, characters, and so much more... all with the purpose of bringing these children closer to the God who loves them very much.  Learn more about our regular "Hiz Kidz" children's ministry activities at our Hiz Kidz webpage.  As for now, take a look at the exciting format we'll be using during this great week at Hometown Nazareth:
